garden retreats for a budget stay, a deluxe studio for honeymoons,
a family room that sleeps four, all a few steps from the water and
all with the same soft bedding and open windows.

Breakfast runs all morning. Wood-fired pizzas come out of the oven
blistered and fast. The fish on the grill was on a boat an hour ago.
And when the sky turns peach, the cocktails come out and the acoustic
set starts. Locals and guests, long tables, no rush; the good kind
of dinner.
A lovely spot, and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

The food is top-notch, and the site is practically right by the water. There are some stunning sunsets to enjoy! Highly recommended :-)

Consiglio di arrivare qui per le 17 per prendere i posti migliori sulla spiaggia.

Everything here is just perfect! The food is delicious, Cocktails are fancy, the staff very friendly and the sunbeds were for free. We came here several times and enjoyed our time at the beach. Highly recommended!!!

We saw some of the most amazing sunsets on the island from here. Cocktails were too notch and both adults and kids enjoyed their meals here. Beautiful ambiance. We went a few times during our stay.

Such a lovely vibe and the perfect spot to catch the sunset. The staff is super friendly and really takes care of everything. We enjoyed some delicious starters paired with a fruity cocktail. Definitely recommend!

The Moroccan Hummus Bowl was absolutely scrumptious and nutritious🤩🤩 good value for money for Gili Air but would be happy to pay more for that again!! will defo come back

Notre seul regret, ne pas avoir pu y séjourner une 2eme nuit car complet !

The beach was stunning and the outdoor dining area had everything we needed. Sunsets here are amazing!!!
The staff really are a credit to mowies, nothing was ever too much for them, they were always happy and polite, they organised trips for us, bought breakfast to our room, arranged an electric scooter and they even helped us out getting back to the boat with all our suitcases on the scooter. Shout out to Ali, Adi, Gusti, Beibe and Bali who really made our stay that much better with their amazing service.
We explored all of the island but we still found that Mowie’s had the best of everything. The best place to stay on Gili Air.

At the same time, the restaurant had amazing food, great coffee plus the cocktails were just delicious. But the best thing was the team: everybody was so nice, friendly, helpful and professional. We were there with our 1 year old and every single person was so nice with him, even they even cooked special food for him every single day. Will definitely love to come back!

Before you pack
The things everyone wants to know.
Fly into Bali (DPS) or Lombok (LOP), then take a fast boat to Gili Air harbour. From Bali it's the fast boat from Padangbai, Serangan or Amed; about 2 to 2.5 hours. From Lombok it's a quick transfer from Bangsal harbour; 10 to 15 minutes on the water. From the harbour, we're a short walk or cidomo (horse-cart) ride away, and we can arrange pickup when you book.
Depends on what you're after. Trawangan is the lively one; bars, crowds, party energy. Meno is the tiny quiet one; beautiful but very little food or nightlife. Gili Air is the middle: quiet when you want it, a handful of good restaurants when you don't, and by far the best snorkelling and diving base of the three. Most people who've tried all three come back to Gili Air.
May to October is the dry season; bluer skies, calmer water, easier boat rides. June and September are the sweet spot: warm, dry, fewer crowds. November to March is still beautiful but brings afternoon rain and a little chop on the boats. Mowies is open year-round and the reef is fantastic any month.
