Up a level, with a private balcony that catches the breeze and looks out over the tropical garden. You can see the sea from here; not a front-row view, but enough to know exactly which way the sun's heading at six.
Inside: a king-size bed, air-conditioning, and a bathroom with a hot rainfall shower. Quieter at night than the ground-floor rooms, and cooler in the afternoons because the breeze has to go through something to get to you. Our pick for second-time guests who already know the island.

Close enough to the beach that you're still there in two minutes. Far enough up that the morning feels a little more private. A good middle choice, and almost always the last room we have available.
